Vegan Garlic Bread

This vegan garlic bread recipe will make you think twice about whether or not the recipe is vegan. I know I enjoy garlic bread with soup, pasta, salad, and of course an appetizer. The key to this vegan garlic bread is really choosing the right bread!

What goes with vegan garlic bread?

Honestly everything! Who doesn't love the bread before the meal at a restaurant? Well with Italian cuisine garlic bread is always a good addition. I personally like to dip my garlic bread into a nice tomato soup or creamy vegan pasta.

What goes in the soup?

  • Bread - The bread is the most important part! Choose the right bread or if you are up to it make your own bread. But in my opinion, the best type of bread is a wide Italian bread which provided good crunchy sides and a soft center!

  • Vegan Butter or Olive Oil - The vegan butter can be any type but I prefer the earth balance whipped. It provides an easily spreadable vegan butter.

  • Garlic - Roasted garlic works best but minced garlic will also do the trick.

  • Dried Parsley - Any dried parsley will work just fine just use a good brand.


How long does the recipe last?

The vegan tomato soup will last around 1-2 hours in the refrigerator. If it lasts. I usually eat it in one sitting!

If you are meal prepping this can be stored for about 3 months in the freezer. All you have to do is heat it up in the oven when you are ready to eat.


The Recipe


  1. 1 loaf of vegan Italian bread

  2. 2-3 cloves of garlic

  3. vegan butter

  4. dried parsley


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350.

  2. While the oven is pre-heating slice the bread into 1/2 inch sections

  3. Dice garlic into very small pieces so that it can be easily spread on the garlic bread.

  4. Coat the bread generously with vegan butter

  5. Sprinkle garlic on bread generously


  1. Place in oven for 10 minutes

  2. Remove bread and sprinkle the dried parsley onto the bread.

  3. Enjoy.
